Olympus Mobility is Belgian's market leader in selling digital tickets for public transport. For their new mobility app we worked together on a new design.
In order to explore the different options for a new design, I started by making some clickable prototypes in Sketch. This way multiple stakeholders' wishes could be explored. It also allowed me to validate a few ideas before elaborating on them. This Sketch prototype would later serve as a reference for color usage, fonts and subtle differences between the iOS and Android version of the app.
On to a more powerful prototype
As soon as the visual language and first designs were approved, we decided to build a more powerful prototype based on Vue.js. This approach has some specific advantages:
In parallel with the work on their mobile app, Olympus was also developing an app based on web technologies. The code base of the Vue.js prototype made the transition from design to actual implementation easy and efficient.
An important part of the Olympus app is the ability for partners to apply elements of their own brand to the app experience. The interactive prototype enabled us to compare and test different color pallettes and involve partners in the design process.
